7.8.2

Charging

Charge battery as follows:
1.
Position the charger and the battery in a well ventilated room. Do not connect the
charger to a mains socket yet.
2.
Connect charge connector of the charger to the charge socket in the centre con-
sole.
3.
Connect mains connector of the charger to a mains socket.
When using the charger CTEK MXS 3600:

Press "Mode" button (1) until the charging icon (4) is lit. The charging indicator (2)
must be lit, too. The charging process begins.
NOTE
The charger charges the battery to up to 95 % of its charge capacity. Then,
the trickle charging indicator (3) lights up.
After the trickle charging indicator (3) lights up, charge the battery at least for
another hour.
If, during the charging process, the battery heats up such that it cannot be
touched, cancel the charging process and let the battery cool down. Con-
tinue the charging process afterwards.
When the battery is charged, disconnect the charger first from the vehicle and then
from the mains socket.
NOTE
If the battery does not reach its full performance after the charging process,
have the battery checked at an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.
7.8.3

Jump start

WARNING
Inadequate handling or inadequate connection of a battery may lead to seri-
ous injuries including chemical burns, electrical burns, or loss of sight as the
consequence of an explosion. Remove rings and watches when working on
the battery.
NOTE
Do not perform any jump start on a vehicle with a defective battery.
In case of an emergency, a jump start may be necessary to start a vehicle. In the case
of a jump start, proceed as follows:

Remove battery cover and all terminal covers.
