Required rafter and purlin dimensions
Comply with the following minimum dimensions for rafters and purlins as per EN 1995-1-1.
Figure 121: Minimum distance and required timber component dimensions
The minimum rafter/purlin height must be 100 mm.
The minimum distance between fastened flat head screws and the edges of rafters and purlins must be
three times the flat head screw diameter. Position hanger bolts in the centre of rafters and outside the
centre on purlins.
