(password) or no authentication (none), which commands a login user can use after login depends
on the level configured for the user interface (set by the user privilege level command in user
interface view). For an SSH user using public key authentication, which commands are available
depends on the level configured for the user interface. For more information about user interface
authentication mode and user interface command level, see Fundamentals Configuration Guide.
To configure the local user attributes:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Add a local user and enter
local user view.
3.
Configure a password for
the local user.
4.
Specify the service types
for the local user.
5.
Place the local user to the
state of active or blocked.
6.
Set the maximum number
of concurrent users of the
local user account.

No local user exists by default.
Optional.
A local user with no password
configured directly passes authentication
after providing the valid local username
and attributes. To enhance security,
configure a password for each local
user.
Parameters including hash, cipher,
simple, and password are not supported
in FIPS mode.
By default, no service is authorized to a
local user.
The ppp keyword is not supported in the
current software version. This keyword is
reserved for future support.
The ftp and telnet keywords are not
supported in FIPS mode.

When created, a local user is in active
state by default, and the user can request
network services.
Optional.
By default, there is no limit to the
maximum number of concurrent users of
a local user account.
The access-limit command is effective
only when local accounting is configured
for the local user account.
This limit is not effective for FTP users.
