Introduction

Basic Requirements

This Quick Start is designed to assist you with the installation and operation of the Siemens
Si-Ware software. Si-Ware allows you to interface with any Siemens flowmeter to assess the
condition of your flowmeter installation and to collect data for comparison with prior baseline
data. This Quick Start will cover system requirements as it pertains to the personal computer
(PC) as well as the SITRANS F series ultrasonic transit-time or Reflexor flowmeter, then
move on to software installation and operation.
Si-Ware is designed to work with Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating
systems. This software, developed specifically to interface with Siemens equipment, allows
you to connect your PC to your flowmeter simply and directly. You will find that Si-Ware is
very intuitive and simple to use, making it a useful tool for managing your Siemens ultrasonic
flowmeters.
PC Requirements
1. Operating Systems – Windows 2000 or XP operating systems. Operation on the Windows

Siemens Flowmeter Requirements
● Must be a SITRANS F 1010 family flowmeter with version 3.01.04E or later operating
