Glossary
Envelope
The rectified and smoothed waveform of a digitized acoustic signal.
Envelope Change
Represents the acoustic signal "shape" change from its initial installed condition. Ranges
from 0% (good) to 100% (bad).
Estimated Repeatability
The closeness of the agreement between the results of successive flow measurements
carried out under the same conditions.
Makeup Status
Error code that is triggered by instantaneous signal problems. A "Measure" Makeup Status
indicates that the meter is satisfied with the acoustic receive signal.
Path
One of at least two physical channels that comprise a multi-path (or multi-beam) flow meter.
S-Filter
Limits the normally recommended sensor selections to normally available sensors.
Signal
The digitized acoustic signal (unprocessed).
SNR
[Signal to Noise Ratio]. Represents a measure of SNR of the digitized acoustic receive
signal.
Status
Status code for measurement channel/path. All dashes indicates no meter faults or alarms.
Up and Dn
Indicates the upstream or downstream direction of signal transmission.
VFmax
Maximum measured sonic velocity of a flowing fluid (in meters/second).
