Deactivating the transmitting function on the BiDi
module
Would you like detector 1 to send an activation command to detector 2
but not the other way around, or would you prefer only one of the
detectors to indicate a detection to the CP (tone)?
To do so, you can block the transmitting function on the BiDi module by
pressing and holding the relay 1 OFF button (see page 14) for five
seconds.
Once the button is released, the command is transmitted to the
detector.
The transmitting function on this BiDi module is permanently
deactivated. The block is only removed once the relay 1 ON button has
been pressed for five seconds or the BiDi module has been reset (to do
so press and hold the programming button on the BiDi button for five
seconds).
Detection sensitivity/range of a motion detector
When equipped with a BiDi module, the detection sensitivity of the
motion detector can be adjusted to a high (approx. 16 m) and low
(approx. 8 m) range in addition to a standard medium range (approx.
12 m).
High range: Press and hold the relay 2 ON button for five seconds
Medium range: Press and hold the relay 2 AUTO button for five
seconds
Low range: Press and hold the relay 2 OFF button for five seconds
Once the button is released, the command is transmitted to the
detector.
(To reset to the medium range, reset the BiDi module)
Select the "low range" if you would like the alarm function on the CP to
be set to the high-volume siren.
When set on a low range, faulty operations caused by drafts etc. can
be avoided.
Recommendation: Internal space such as a garage or storage area.
