Bi-directional Swiss Garde MZ 5000

The Swiss Garde MZ 5000 can
be extended to include
the bi-directional function
in a few simple steps.
Remove the plug-in module
at the rear of the
sensor head and insert
the bi-directional plug-in module
(including antenna) in its place.
(Un-) Installing a BiDi module
(Remove the detector from the
mains power supply before installation)
Carefully press the locking
clip (i.e. using a screwdriver)
and pull the plug-in module
down removing it from the detector.
Push the BiDi module
in to the detector from below.
Your bi-directional MZ 5000
is now ready to be programmed.
Press the programming buttons
on the BiDi module and the control pad (or a different motion detector)
consecutively. The bi-directional pair will remain in programming mode
for five minutes.
The pair is initialised as soon as the control pad and the MZ 5000
including the BiDi module each receive a signal. During the five-minute
programming mode, activate the motion detector by entering the
coverage area, wait until a sound is emitted by the control pad (signal
that something has been detected) and then press the "relay 1 button",
i.e. "auto". If the programming process was successful, the detector
acknowledges this by flashing the connected light three times. The LED
in the detector flashes once per cycle if a transmitter has not been
stored and flashes twice per cycle if one (or more) CPs have been
saved.
