2) Settings
Manual and Auto Range
If you know the range of measurement you are going to be testing, you can use the Manual Range function by clicking on Range and then
selecting the appropriate range setting. Select Auto-Range on the bottom right to switch back to auto-range mode. If you do not know
the range you are going to be testing, it is recommended that you use the Auto-Range feature or it can damage the meter.
Hold Data
Click "Hold Data" to keep the current measurement displayed on the screen. The measurement will change its color to Green. Press it again to
clear the data.
Measurement Difference
After you click "Hold Data", you can see the difference between two measurements by then selecting "Difference." The newly displayed
measurement will change its color to Red. The difference between the two values will be displayed as a Yellow color. Press it again to
clear the data.
3) Operating Instructions
A.) DC Voltage Measurement
WARNING: DO NOT MEASURE VOLTAGES IN EXCESS OF 660V DC.
1. Connect the black test lead to the "COM" jack and the red test lead to the "V/Ω" jack.
2. Select U. The multi-meter by default is on Auto-Range. If you want to use a manual range, click on Range and then enter the DC voltage
measurement range you wish to use.
3. Touch the tip of the Negative (Black) test lead to the negative end of the component you are measuring followed by the Positive (Red) test lead
to the positive end of the component.
Your voltage measurement will appear on the IP BUDDY+ ALL IN 1. If the measurement is negative reverse the polarity of your test leads.
B.) AC Voltage Measurement
WARNING: DO NOT MEASURE VOLTAGES IN EXCESS OF 660V AC.
1. Connect the black test lead to the "COM" jack and the red test lead to the "V/Ω" jack.
2. Select Ũ. The multi-meter by default is on Auto-Range. If you want to use a manual range, click on Range and then enter the AC voltage
measurement range you wish to use.
3. Touch the tip of the Negative (Black) test lead to the negative end of the component you are measuring followed by the Positive (Red) test lead
to the positive end of the component.
