Adjusting the rebound damping of the shock absorber

Caution
Risk of injury Parts of the shock absorber will fly off if the shock absorber is disassembled incorrectly.
The shock absorber is filled with highly compressed nitrogen.

Measuring the rear wheel dimension unloaded

Turn adjusting screw
Turn counterclockwise by the number of clicks corresponding to the shock
absorber type.

Turn clockwise to increase damping; turn counterclockwise to reduce
damping.
Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Main work
Measure a distance between the rear axle and marking SAG as vertically as pos-
sible, on the rear fender.
Note down the value as dimension
402415-10
Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (
clockwise up to the last perceptible click.
