Creating Annotation Objects in Notebook
Files
You can create or erase annotation objects with the aid of the pens,
buttons and eraser on the Pen Tray, with the various tools available from
Notebook or a combination of both methods.

Creating Objects with the Pen Tray Tools

If you are running Notebook on a SMART Board, use the Pen Tray tools
to create or erase objects. This is the simplest, easiest and most natural
method of creating annotations on the SMART Board. You can also use
the Pen Tray buttons to move to the next page or perform right mouse
clicks.
If you are using the SMART Board with a projector, the Pen Tray pens,
buttons and eraser can be reconfigured by selecting the Configure
SMART Board Pens command from the Tools menu. The three-tabbed
Configure Pen Tray Tools dialog box will appear, enabling you to
reconfigure any aspect of the various Pen Tray tools. Procedures for
using and configuring the Pen Tray tools are fully described in the
SMART Board driver online Help.

Creating Objects with Notebook Tools

You can also use the various toolbar buttons in Notebook to create
annotation objects. These objects can be blocks of keyboard-entered
text, freehand writing or drawings, or ellipses, lines or rectangles.
The first step in creating an object from a Notebook toolbar is to either
click on the appropriate toolbar button or select the tool from the pull-
down Draw menu. The second step is to select visual attributes for that
