Principle of Measurement
Based on the red / orange complex formed
between formaldoxime and Manganese in a
suitably buffered solution.
Based on the malachite green triphenyl dye
which is formed in an oxidation reaction involving
manganese and leucomalachite green.
Based on the yellow complex formed between
molybdate and phosphate. The reducing agent
then
modifies
this
complex
phosphomolybdenum blue color.
