7. Referring to Fig. 13.14, remove the four screws
remove the motor and sample tube
of the measuring cell.

a. Slide the sample tube

. Discard the sample tube.
b. Loosen retaining grub screw
piston assembly Q from the piston shaft
discard the piston assembly.
c. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring

with the silicon grease from the piston kit.
d. Fit the O-ring and piston seal to the new piston

base .

e. Insert the piston base, complete with seal and
O-ring, into the new piston top
loosely with the new piston cone adjusting screw

and spring washer
Do not tighten the piston cone adjusting screw at
this stage.
f. Insert the new piston assembly
the new sample tube
firmly, tighten the piston cone adjusting screw
until a continuous seal is achieved between the

piston seal and the sample tube
g. Remove the piston assembly from the sample tube
and refit it to the piston shaft
new retaining grub screw

h. Remove O-ring from the base of the motor
mounting plate and discard.

i. Fit new O-ring ensuring it is located correctly in
the groove in the base of the motor mounting plate.
j. Fit the sample tube over the piston assembly and
slide it up until it contacts O-ring
