SMC-Proprietary Power
This motherboard supports SMC-Proprietary power supply. Be sure to use the
power supply recommended by Supermicro and connect it to JPWR2 to provide
power to your system.
Power Output for HDD
An HDD power out connector is located at JP16. Connect a power cable to JP16
to provide 12V or 5 V power to the devices installed in hard drive disks.
Motherboard Interface to PDB
Connectors JP17/JP18 provide motherboard interface support to PDB. Connect
appropriate cables to support interface between the motherboard and a PDB.
DOM PWR Connector (JSD1)
The Disk-On-Module (DOM) power con-
nector, located at JSD1, provides 5V
(Gen1/Gen) power to a solid state DOM
storage device connected to one of the
SATA ports. See the table on the right for
pin defi nitions.
Universal Serial Bus (USB)
A USB 3.0 port (USB 0) is located next to
I-SATA3 to provide front chassis access
using USB cables (not included). Two ad-
ditional USB connections are supported
by JKVM1 on the IO backplane. See the
table on the right for pin defi nitions.
