SNMP Parameters

The MAGIC AE1 DAB+ Audio Encoder supports the SNMP protocol to integrate
the system into a network management system.

• The SNMP function is enabled when you mark the box SNMP.
• Please select under SNMP Version if you are using SNMP v1 or v2c.
• The Read Community entry is an identifier to read data. The name has to
be identical with the name in your Management System. By default, the
name public is used.
• Under Trap Community you define the name for the trap datagrams. The
name has to be identical with the name in your Management System.
• Please enter the port on which MAGIC AE1 DAB+ System receives messages
under SNMP Port. The default setting is 161.
• MAGIC AE1 DAB+ allows the addressing of up to four different Network
Management Systems. Please enter the corresponding IP addresses and
Ports under NMS 1 (IP Adr./Port), NMS 2 (IP Adr./Port), NMS 3 (IP
Adr./Port) and NMS 4 (IP Adr./Port).
• Under System Description you can assign a name for the system.
• Under Contact an email address can be entered.
• In the entry field System Location you can write the location of the Audio
Encoder.
• You can enable the option Send authentication failure trap to send the
authentication failure trap. This happens when the system detects a access
trial with a wrong community string.
