Submenu MAGIC AE1 DAB+

Via the submenu MAGIC AE1 DAB+ the system can be configured comforta-
bly. It is distinguished between System Settings, which do not have to be
changed during the operation and Operation Settings for the current appli-
cation. In contrast to a operation setting, the system settings cannot be saved
as Preset (see CHAPTER 5.5.3).

Operation Settings

All listed settings made under Operation Settings can be saved as Preset.

Line interface

Under Line Interface you can configure the settings which are necessary for
the connection between Audio Encoder and Ensemble Multiplexer.

LAN Parameters
• First, you need to select which Sync Mode you want to use to synchronise
the Audio Encoder and the Ensemble Multiplexer. The following modes
can be configured:
– AES/EBU: If you want to use the digital AES/EBU clock to synchronise
the systems, please select this setting. Please note that a GPS clock is
necessary in this case.
– NTP: If your MAGIC AE1 DAB+ Encoders are connected to the AVT MAGIC
DAB MUX Multiplexer, please select NTP as Sync Mode. The NTP Server
which is providing the clock has to be configured under System Set-
tings
– Internal: This setting should only be selected if no other clock is avail-
able. In this case, it is very likely that dropouts will occur.
