Watchdog

When the application is executed, watchdog information is displayed in the watchdog

information group box. The information displays includes the maximum time-out, min-

imum time-out, and time-out steps in milliseconds. For example, a 1 to 255-second

watchdog has a 255000 maximum time-out, 1000 minimum time-out, and 1000 time-

out steps. The functionalities of the watchdog can be tested as follows:



Set the time-out value as 3000 (3 seconds) in the Set Timeout field, and set the

delay value as 2000 (2 seconds) in the Set Delay field, then click the <Start>

button. The Timeout Countdown field countdowns the watchdog timer and dis-

plays 5000 (5 seconds).



Before the timer counts down to zero, the timer can be reset by clicking the

<Refresh> button. Subsequently, the Timeout Countdown field displays the

value of the Set Timeout field.



To stop the watchdog timer, just click the <Stop> button.
