Entering Setup

Turn on the computer and check for the -patch" code. If a number is assigned to the

patch code, the BIOS can support your CPU. If no number is assigned to the patch

code, please contact an Advantech application engineer to obtain an up-to-date

patch code file. This guarantees that your CPU system status is valid. After ensuring

that a number is assigned to the patch code, press <DEL> to immediately enter the

setup menu.

3.2.1

When first entering the BIOS Setup Utility, users land on the main setup screen.

Users can return to the main setup screen at any time by selecting the main tab. Two

Main Setup options exist, as described in this section. The Main BIOS setup screen

is shown below.

The Main BIOS setup screen comprises two main frames. The left frame displays all

options that can be configured. Grayed-out options cannot be configured, whereas

the options presented in blue can. The right frame displays the key legend.

Above the key legend is an area reserved for text messages. When an option is

selected in the left frame, it is presented as white text and often accompanied by a

text message.



System Time / System Date

Use this option to change the system time and date. Highlight System Time or

System Date using the <Arrow> keys. Enter new values using the keyboard.

Press the <Tab> or <Arrow> keys to move between fields. The date must be

entered in MM/DD/YY format. The time must be entered in HH:MM:SS format.
