4.1.3

System fans and traverse

4.1.3.1

Removing the system fan 1

Ê Disconnect the fan cable from the connector FAN1 SYS on the system
board.
Ê Push the lock inward until it disengages.
Ê Push the air duct to the front side until the pins on the PSU casing and the
traverse disengage.
Ê Remove the air duct with the integrated system fan 1.

Removing the system fan 2

Ê Disconnect the fan cable from the connector FAN2 SYS on the system
board.
Ê Pull the lock upward and swivel the system fan 2 forward.
Ê Take out the system fan 2 downward.
4.1.3.3

Removing the traverse with the air duct over the main memory

Ê Remove the system fan 1 and system fan 2.
Ê Push the lock at the right side and pull out the traverse sideward.
Ê Unhook the traverse at the left side.
Ê Take the traverse with the memory air duct carefully out of the housing.
4.1.3.4

Removing the system fan 3

Ê Remove the system fan 1, system fan 2 and the traverse.
Ê Disconnect the fan cable from the connector FAN3 SYS on the system
board.
Ê Pull the lock inward.
Ê Pull the system fan 3 forward to disengage the four snap-fits.
Ê Remove the system fan 3 sideward.
