3 Loading/saving settings
The Switch saves settings such as the IP parameters and the port configura-
tion in the temporary memory. These settings are lost when you switch off or
reboot the device.
The Switch enables you to
save settings from the temporary memory in a non-volatile memory
load settings from a non-volatile memory into the temporary memory.
If you change the current configuration (for example, by switching a port off),
the load/save symbol in the menu area changes from a disk symbol into a
yellow triangle. After saving the configuration, the load/save symbol changes
back into the disk symbol.
