2.4 Loading the system configu-
ration from the ACA
The AutoConfiguration Adapter (ACA) is a device for
storing the configuration data of a Switch and
storing the Switch software.
In the case of a Switch failure, the ACA makes it possible to easily transfer
the configuration data by means of a substitute switch of the same type.
When you start the Switch, it checks for an ACA. If it finds an ACA with a valid
password and valid software, the Switch loads the configuration data from
the ACA.
The password is valid if
the password in the Switch matches the password in the ACA or
the preset password is entered in the Switch.
