Focus lock (with the F-Dial set to "AFL"I
When taking pictures on autofocus and the subject you
want to focus is not within the horizontal split-image spot
depending on your composition, lock the focus in the
following manner and shoot.
Focusing mode "SAF" (single autofocus)

Set the focusing mode to "SAF" and the F-dial to
I "AFL''.
11 Aim the horizontal split-image spot at the subject you
L wanl to focus, and depress the shutter release
halfway. Focusing is effected and, as soon as the subject
is in sharp focus, the sharp-focus mark "o" in the
vieMinder turns on and the focus is locked.
