I Lenses that Need Attention on Autofocus
1. Float Type Lenses
t Float type lenses with focal lengths 35mm or less:
Set the lens' distance ring to "-" and shoot within the
range of - - 3m. lf the distance ring is set to the
shorter-distance side, shoot within the base position
range on the display in the viewfinder. Though you can
shoot even at a nearer distance than that, the image
quality on picture edges will be reduced.
r2_)Float type lenses with focal lengths &5mm or more:
Set the lens' distance ring to "-" and shoot within the
range of - - 5m. lf the distance ring is set to the
shorter-distance side, shoot within the range in which
the number of positions that turn on on the back
focusing scale in the vieMinder display is as small as
possible. To maintain the image performance of the
lens, it is recommended to shoot within the 3 positions
that turn on.
