Delete RAID Volume

You can use this menu to delete RAID drives.

Deleting a volume will reset the disks to non-RAID.

RAID Drive [RAID 1(Mirror)] Deletion Procedure

This section contains the RAID drive deletion procedure. When deleting RAID drives, follow the
procedure shown below.
1. Turn the power on, and then start the RAID utility. For details on how to start the RAID utility, see
"Starting the setup screen" on page 623.
2. After the RAID utility starts, on the Main Menu, press the <Up Arrow> key and <Down Arrow> key
to move the cursor to "Delete RAID Volume", and then press <Enter>.
3. All RAID drives with mirroring constructions will be displayed. Press the <Up Arrow> key and
<Down Arrow> key to move the cursor to the RAID drive to delete, and then press <DEL>.
4. A message will be displayed regarding deleting the selected RAID drive. Press <Y>.
ALL DATA IN THE VOLUME WILL BE LOST!
(This does not apply to Recovery volumes)

5. The RAID drive will be deleted from "RAID Volumes" on the Main Menu. Under "Physical Disks",
"Non-RAID Disk" will be displayed under "Type/Status(Vol ID)" for the hard disk drives that made
up the RAID drive.
