Supported connections between various types of arrays

Hitachi AMS2100, AMS2300, or AMS2500 can be connected with Hitachi
WMS100, AMS200, AMS500, or AMS1000. The following table shows the
supported connections between various types of arrays.

Notes when Connecting Hitachi AMS2000 Series to other arrays

• The maximum number of pairs that can be created is limited to the
maximum number of pairs supported by the arrays, whichever is fewer.
• The firmware version of AMS500/1000 must be 0780/A or later when
connecting with AMS2100, AMS2300, or AMS2500 of the H/W Rev. is
0100.
• The firmware version of AMS500/1000 must be 0786/A or later when
connecting with AMS2100, AMS2300, or AMS2500 of the H/W Rev. is
0200.
• The firmware version of AMS2100, AMS2300, or AMS2500 must be
08B7/B or later when connecting with HUS100.
• If a Hitachi Unified Storage as the local array connects to an AMS2010,
AMS2100, AMS2300, or AMS2500 with under 08B7/B as the remote
array, the remote path will be blocked along with the following
message:
• For Fibre Channel connection:
The target of remote path cannot be connected(Port-xy)
Path alarm(Remote-X,Path-Y)
• For iSCSI connection:
• Path Login failed
