General Safety Advice

There is the risk of injury with every use of the electric wheelchair which is contrary to the
provisions set out in the operating instructions!
 Use the wheelchair exclusively in accordance with the directions contained in these
instructions!
 Observe all safety advice especially!
Risk of personal injury and /or damage to the electric wheelchair in the event
of impaired fitness to drive!
 Do not use the wheelchair when your fitness to drive is impaired, for example,
through medication or alcohol! If necessary, the operation must be carried out by a
companion who is mentally and physically capable of doing so!
Risk of personal injury if the wheelchair unintentionally begins to move!
 Switch off the wheelchair before getting on or off it or handling objects which, due to
their size, shape or weight, could come into contact with the joystick!
 When the drive is disengaged, the motor brakes are deactivated. Therefore the
pushing of the wheelchair on inclines by a companion is allowed only with extreme
caution. Never leave the wheelchair standing with the drive disengaged on or in
front of an incline. Always re-engage the drive immediately after a pushing
operation! The disengagement is only intended for the companion.

Safety Advice about Care and Maintenance

Risk of accidents and loss of guarantee are threatened by inadequate maintenance!
 For reasons of safety and to prevent accidents which occur due to wear and tear
not recognized sufficiently early, it is important that the electric vehicle, under
normal operating conditions, undergoes a yearly service by your specialist dealer.
 Under more difficult operating conditions, for example, daily travel on inclines and
downward slopes or use in care services with frequently changing wheelchair users,
it is advisable to arrange for intermediate checks of the brakes, mounting parts and
the chassis to be made!
 In the event of involvement with public road traffic, the vehicle driver is responsible
for the safe operating condition of the vehicle! Faulty or neglected care and
maintenance of the vehicle leads to limitation of the manufacturer's liability!
