Safety Advice about Driving Mode / Pushing Mode

Risk of Injury through the Tipping Over of the Electric Wheelchair
Only drive on inclines and downhill slopes up to the maximum safe tipping
angle (see the technical data) and only with an upright backrest and
lowered seat tilt mechanism (if present).
Drive on downhill slopes at approx. 2/3 of maximum speed. Avoid
sudden braking or acceleration on downhill slopes.
Avoid routes on smooth surfaces and on which there is the risk of slipping
(snow, gravel, black ice etc.), especially on inclines or downhill slopes. If you
absolutely must drive on such a surface, then drive slowly and with the utmost
caution.
Never try to overcome an obstacle on an incline or downhill slope.
Never try to drive up or down a staircase with your electric wheelchair!
Always drive up to an obstacle at a right angle. Drive over the obstacle with the
front wheels and with the rear wheels in one move, do not stop half way.
Observe the maximum obstacle height (see the technical data).
Avoid shifting your centre of gravity during a journey, as well as jerky
drive lever movements, and / or the undertaking of changes of direction.
Only transport one person at a time.
Observe the maximum load capacity.
Bear in mind that the wheelchair accelerates or brakes when the driving mode is
changed during a journey.
