Part 3: Functions and operation:

3.1 Operation:

The INVOLIGHT "VENTUS L" is a DMX-512 controllable LED beam effect. The device combines derby effect,
grating laser and stroboscope in one spotlight. It can be controlled via 4 DMX channels, automatic or music and
used as master or slave. The device is connected to the power supply via the mains cable. The current can be
routed from one to the next device via an IEC extension (optional). This allows multiple devices to be powered
from a wall outlet. You can set and influence the different operating modes and via the on-board menu. The
"VENTUS L" can be controlled with any commercially available DMX controller.

1. DMX Out: 3-pin female XLR connector for forwarding the DMX control signal.
2. DMX IN: 3-pin male XLR connector for connecting a DMX control unit (for example a DMX mixer).
3. POWER Out: IEC mains output socket.
4. POWER IN: IEC mains power input socket with fuse holder for F1A 250V fuse.
5. Key lock-switch: Turns the unit on and off. The key switch ensures that no unauthorized person can operate
the laser.
6. Built-in microphone: The built-in microphone is used to synchronize the show with the rhythm of the music.
7. On-Board Menu: Displays the operating mode and the value of individual functions.
8. Safety-eye: The device is to be secured with a suitable safety cable against dropping.
