Output Connections

Basic connections

Basic connections can be used for low voltage (not greater than 30Vrms,
42Vpeak) testing where guarding and/or noise shielding are not required. Basic
connections to a DUT are shown in
Figure
Use the connections shown in
Cable Guard.

A noise shield is used to prevent unwanted signals from being induced into the
test circuit. A test current below 1μA may benefit from effective shielding.
Typically, the metal noise shield surrounds the DUT and is connected to Output
Low.
