Replace the
Brake Board
Follow the procedure step by step to correctly diagnose the problem. Take particular care with the
checks highlighted by circled numbers, which are described in detail below:
To speed up the troubleshooting procedure, check the state of the power indicator LEDs
on the various circuit boards.
(1)
Check if the machine stays on for 30 seconds after having stopped pedalling. If the machine
switches off in few seconds, check if the fuse on the CU110 cable is blown. Than check the
battery charge, if it isn't about 12Vdc, recharge the battery for 8 hour with an external power.
(2)
Check the LEDs 1 and 2 (green and yellow), of the Display Board, are correctly lit on.
(3)
Check if the LEDs 1 and 2 (green and yellow) of the Brake Board, are correctly lighting on,
as described in paragraph: 3.5. "Brake Board".
(4)
Using a tester, check that all the output voltages on connector CN1 of the Brake board. The
measured value should be:
• +12Vdc between pins 6-2;
• +5Vdc between pins 7-3.
(5)
Using a tester, check the voltage on connector CN3, of the Brake board. The measured value
should be 16-19Vdc, between pins 10 and 8, nearly at 50RPM. Use a tester, to estimate the
RPM signal on the CN3 connector of the Brake board. The measured value should be
approximately 30Vac between pin 4 and a ground point.
If you replace Display Board/Brake board, check that its SW version is updated, and
otherwise install the latest version.
