BATTERY PACKS AND CASE

■ Charging the battery

D Regular charging with the BC-179+BC-174
The BC-179 provides regular charging of battery packs. The
following accessories are additionally required.
• A power adapter (may be supplied, depending on the transceiver
versions) or the optional cigarette lighter cable (CP-22).
Turn OFF power
Charging indicator
Be sure to turn OFF the transceiver power, when charging
the battery pack along with the transceiver.

some versions)
CAUTION!
• DO NOT
modify the CP-22. A modification could cause a fire or
electric shock.
• BE CAREFUL
not to cut or fray the CP-22's power cable when
disconnecting or connecting the CP-22 from or to the cigarette
lighter socket.
• Charging period
Approximately 12 hours (for the BP-232N)
Approximately 13.5 hours (for the BP-232H)
• Charging indicator color information
Orange:
While charging
Green:
When charging is completed
Orange or green (blink):
The battery pack or the charger has a problem.
