Power

The 664 utilizes different powering
options, such as external DC power, or it
may be powered by five AA batteries.
The Power switch provides selection
of two power sources, external (DC)
or internal (battery). There is a large
enough power reserve to switch back
and forth between internal or external
power sources without interrupting
mixer operation.

Powering the 664

The 664 operates on either external DC power or internal AA battery power.
To turn on the 664:
Slide the Power switch to the right for external power.

Slide the Power switch to the left for internal battery power.

The Power LED illuminates yellow then green. The Sound
Devices splash screen appears briefly on the LCD, and then the
Main screen is displayed.
As part of the Main screen, the LCD displays a DC voltage indi-
cator in the form of a battery icon that indicates the level of the
power source currently in use.

Additionally, a numerical reading of the internal and external voltage is dis-
played at all times along top of the Main Menu screen. Internal voltage is shown
on the left; external voltage is shown on the right.
