Transporting the Motorcycle

When transporting the motorcycle:
• Use a truck or trailer. Never tow the motorcycle. Towing will impair steering and
handling.
• Restrain the motorcycle in an upright position to prevent fuel leaks.
• Place the transmission in neutral.
• Do not place restraints on the handlebars. Carefully route the tiedown straps between the
fairing and the fork tubes. Position the tiedown straps around the fork tubes above the
lower triple clamp, being sure to not pinch brake lines or wire harnesses. Secure the rear of
the motorcycle with tiedowns around both sides of the rear axle, being careful to avoid the
brake line, exhaust and drive belt.
