Alternatively, if a 100 µM maximum concentration is desired instead of the 1 µM limit described
in step 7, above, the Modified Range function can be used in the Fluid Extension mode.
9.
Set the Low (µM) at 0.00002 µM if you have not, and set the High (µM) to 100 µM. Note that
the 100 µM text is red, indicating that it is outside the valid concentration range.
10.
Click the Modified Range button. The Valid Range Modification dialog box appears.

Select the Fluid Extension option.

Note that the wizard suggests using an additional fluid at a concentration of 0.1 mM, which
provides a valid concentration range of 0.00002 µM to 100 µM, exactly what is needed.
12.
Click the Use Modification button.
Note that the fluid table now has two entries in the Conc.(mM) column with two Dispenseheads
when this plate layout is run. This is shown in
