Possible cause
Check that parameter H-08 Reverse
Lock is programmed correctly.
Check if a reversing command is
programmed for the terminal in
parameter group E-0# Digital inputs.
Check output limits in:
Parameter F-17 Motor Speed High
Limit [RPM].
Parameter F-15 Motor Speed High
Limit [Hz].
Parameter F-03 Max Output
Frequency 1.
Check reference input signal scaling
in AN-## Reference limits in
parameter group F-5#.
Check the settings of all motor
parameters, including all motor
compensation settings. For closed-
loop operation, check PID settings.
Check for incorrect motor settings
in all motor parameters.
Check brake parameters. Check
decel time settings.
Motor or panel has a short phase-
to-phase. Check motor and panel
phase for short circuits.
Motor is overloaded for the
application.
Perform pre-startup check for loose
connections.
Rotate input power leads into the
frequency converter 1 position: A
to B, B to C, C to A.
Rotate input power leads into the
frequency converter 1 position: A
to B, B to C, C to A.
Rotate output motor cables 1
position: U to V, V to W, W to U.
Rotate output motor cables 1
position: U to V, V to W, W to U.

Test
Program correct settings.
Deactivate reversing signal.
Program correct limits.
Program correct settings.
Check settings in parameter group
AN-##. For closed loop operation,
check settings in parameter group
CL-0#.
Check motor settings in parameter
groups P-0# Motor Data, P-3# Adv
Motor Data, and H-5# Load Indep.
Setting.
Check parameter group B-0# DC
Brake and F-5# Extended Reference.
Eliminate any short circuits
detected.
Perform start-up test and verify
that the motor current is within
specifications. If motor current is
exceeding nameplate full load
current, motor may run only with
reduced load. Review the specifi-
cations for the application.
Tighten loose connections.
If imbalanced leg follows the wire,
it is a power problem. Check mains
power supply.
If imbalance leg stays on same
input terminal, it is a problem with
the unit. Contact the supplier.
If imbalanced leg follows the wire,
the problem is in the motor or
motor wiring. Check motor and
motor wiring.
If imbalance leg stays on same
output terminal, it is a problem
with the unit. Contact the supplier.
