3. Troubleshooting
Situation
The supply voltage for the fan which
cools the cathode of the lamp is too
high. The fan for the lamp cathode
cooling is mounted between the
lamp compartment and the input &
communication unit.
Error 7973 : "Fan 1 voltage low"
This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation

This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation
Blocked high density filter at the
front side of the projector.
Ambient temperature too high.
Error 7976 : "SMPS HS temp high"
Temperature on the heat sink of the secondary circuit of the SMPS unit is too high. This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation
Ambient temperature too high.
Blocked front filter.
Malfunction SMPS module.
Error 7978 : "Lamp temp high"
This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation
Ambient temperature too high.
Blocked high density filters.
Obstructed air outlet channel.
Malfunction lamp anode fan or lamp
cathode fan.
Error 7980 : "Blue DMD temp high"
This error may be preceded by a warning.

Solution
Replace the Fan & Motor control board.

Replace the front high density filter with a new one.
Check the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 40°C. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling.

Replace the high density filter at the front side of the projector with a new one.
Replace the SMPS module.

Check the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 40°C. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling.
Check all high density filters. Replace filthy high density filters with a new ones.
Check if the air outlet at the rear of the projector is not covered. There should be at
least one meter of free area at the rear of the projector.
Check the speed and voltage (using the service menu) of the lamp anode fan or lamp
cathode fan. Replace any malfunctioning fan.
