Configuration and Operation
IEEE 802.1X
The camera is allowed to access a network protected by 802.1X/EAPOL (Extensible Authentication
Protocol over LAN). Users must contact the network administrator to obtain certificates, user IDs, and
passwords.
CA Certificate
The CA certificate is created by the Certificate Authority for the purpose of validating itself. Click Browse
to locate the file and UPLOAD to upload the certificate to check the server's identity.
Client Certificate
Upload the Client Certificate to authenticate the camera. Click Browse to locate the file and UPLOAD to
upload the certificate.
Private Key
Upload the Private Key to authenticate the camera. Click Browse to locate the file and UPLOAD to
upload the private key.
Settings
Identity – Enter the user identity (user name) associated with the certificate. Up to 16 characters
can be used.
Private Key Password – Enter the password associated with the user identity. Up to 16
characters can be used.
Enable IEEE 802.1X – Select the checkbox to enable IEEE 802.1X security. The setting is
disabled by default.
Click SAVE to save the IEEE 802.1X/EAPTLS setting.
