ViA Headphone Controls
WARNING:
PERMANENT HEARING DAMAGE. REDUCE VOLUME AS LOW AS POSSIBLE.
A headphone volume limiter can be employed to protect hearing when monitoring loud
sources and/or when using low impedance headphones. To configure this:
1. Press the HOME
2. Tap Headphones
3. Tap Headphone Volume Limiter to toggle between enabling and disabling this
Adjust Headphone Levels
The codec has three 6.35mm (1/4") RTS stereo headphone outputs (HP 1-3) for monitoring inputs
and return program audio.Use the green headphone HP 1-3 rotary encoders to adjust the headphone
level for each headphone output.
Adjust Headphone Output Settings
1. Press the SOURCE button on inputs 1-3 to display the headphone monitoring adjustment screen
for each headphone output.
2. Use the Send & Return Balance slider to adjust the Send and Return audio headphone
balance. Each headphone output has individual controls. This doesn't affect the level of audio
transmitted or received, only the local headphone monitoring level of audio being sent from the
codec and received by the codec.
Source Select Headphone Mix
By default, each headphone output is configured to monitor the outgoing Send program audio
and the incoming Return audio. Tap Select HP Mix to choose another mix. Options include:
1. Default: the default factory program headphone mix.
2. Audio Stream: monitors the selected codec audio stream.
3. Input: monitors individual codec XLR inputs.
4. Aux Inputs: monitors the Auxiliary inputs.
It is also possible to create your own headphone mix and save it using the Edit Current Mix
feature.
