RESPONDING TO A KEYBOARD MESSAGE OR A SYSTEM REFERENCE CODE

To find a keyboard message, scan the code column. When you
find the message, perform the action to recover from the cause.
Then try the operation you were performing again.

The keystroke was invalid or the cursor was not in an
input field.
Press the Error Reset key and the Erase Input/Home
key.
The computer tried to insert a character in the last
position of a field or the last position of every field
needs to be blank.
Press the Error Reset key.
The Field Minus keyE] was pressed in a nonsigned
numeric field.
Press the Error Reset key.
The Dup key was pressed in a field where it is not
allowed.
Press the Error Reset key.
A keyboard message will appear on the
system console.
