Click Motion Detection tab to configure Motion detection
performance of the encoder, as is shown by
Figure
6-40. You can
configure at most 5 motion detection areas with different sensitivities.

Name: Select the area which you would like to detect from Name.
drop-down list. Select the check box on the right to enable the
selected area be detected.
Sense: Configures the sensitivity threshold level for motion detection.
Values rang from 1~12 in 1 increments. The larger the value is, the
more sensitive the detection is. Usually, the level is from 8 ~10.
Detect Area: Configures the detected region of current selected area.
The detected region should be a rectangle. To configure detected
region, first click the square which is located to the top left of the
rectangle. Then click the square which is located on the right bottom
of the rectangle. Note that you should click the central part of the
square. Click on the border of squares is invalid. Detected regions
can be overlapped.
Alarm Out: Select the check box, video encoder will output alarm
signal when motion is detected.
Dome Interlock: Select the check box to enable this function. Then
video encoder will interlock PTZ to preset position when motion is
detected.
Preset: Configure preset position where the PTZ will be moved when
motion is detected.
