Section 2: Aileron Servo Installation

Required Parts
• Pushrod snap keeper (2)
• Top wing panel (right and left)
• Servo hatch cover (right and left)
• 6-inch (152mm) servo extension (2)
• Hardwood servo mounting block (4)
• 2mm x 12mm self-tapping screw (8)
• 6-inch (152mm) pushrod w/clevis (2)
Required Tools and Adhesives
• 30-minute epoxy
• Felt-tipped pen
• Pin drill
• Drill bit: 1/16-inch (1.5mm), 5/64-inch (2mm)

Step 1
Position the aileron servo on the servo hatch as shown.
Note that the servo will rest parallel to the opening for the
servo arm, not to the edge of the hatch itself.
• Servo w/hardware (2)
• Thin CA
• Hobby knife
• Side cutter

Step 2
Use a felt-tipped pen to mark the locations for the servo
mounting blocks on the hatch.
Note: Make sure the blocks will not hang over
the outside edges of the hatch when installed.
If so, reposition the servo as necessary
and correct the marking on the hatch.

Step 3
Use 30-minute epoxy to glue the two servo mounting
blocks to the hatch. Allow the epoxy to fully cure
before proceeding.
