ROUBLESHOOTING
The Primex Eco Clock is specially designed to signal changes in operation. Use the table below to identify and solve
problems with the Primex Eco Clock.
Table 3: Troubleshooting the Primex Eco Clock
Symptom
The clock does not set
after moving the jumper
to the rightmost pins and
installing the backup
battery.
The clock does not beep
after pressing the button
to verify adequate signal.
The second hand is
stopped at 12, but the
clock appears to be
keeping time. (Model
14149 only)
The second hand double
steps. (Model 14149 only)
The second hand
advances every five
seconds, but the clock
appears to be keeping
time although it may drift
slightly. (Model 14149
only)
Primex Wireless
Explanation
The jumper has not been replaced after installation of the
new backup battery, the clock is not receiving a signal from
the Primex Wireless transmitter, or the backup battery is
defective.
The clock is not receiving a signal from the Primex Wireless
transmitter or the backup battery is defective.
The clock is not receiving adequate light and is conserving
energy by stopping the second hand.
The backup battery is low.
The clock has not decoded a signal from the transmitter for
four days.

Corrective Actions
Ensure that the jumper has
been reinstalled on the
rightmost pins.
Place the clock in a
different location.
Check that the Primex
Wireless transmitter was
broadcasting during clock
initialization.
Replace the backup
battery.
Test the clock in a different
location.
Check the Primex Wireless
transmitter.
Replace the backup
battery.
Increase the light level in
the room or move the
clock to a location with
light levels greater than
220 lux.
Replace the backup
battery.
Check the Primex Wireless
transmitter.
