Use a light meter to measure light levels in the location where you plan to hang the clock. Ambient light levels
l
of 220 lux or greater for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week are required for full functionality and best
performance. Primex Wireless offers the Lux1010-B Digital Lux Meter (Part Number 14258). To order, contact
Primex Wireless Customer Service.
Ensure that the Primex Wireless transmitter is broadcasting during the time you are verifying the signal. Primex
l
Wireless transmitters with external antennas broadcast for only 27 minutes each hour, from 39 minutes before
the hour to 6 minutes after the following hour. If you have a transmitter with an external antenna, be sure to
perform this procedure during this time. Alternatively, you can power cycle the transmitter, causing it to
broadcast continuously for 8 hours while you complete this procedure.

Verify Adequate Ambient Light

Use the light meter to take lux readings at the location where you plan to hang the light. Readings should be
l
above 220 lux to ensure full operation and best performance of the Primex Eco Clock.
Consider the pattern of light at the location. The location must receive at least 220 lux of ambient light 8 hours
l
per day 5 days per week to ensure full operation and best performance of the Primex Eco Clock.

Verify Adequate Signal

Hold the clock near the location where you plan to hang it.
l
Push and IMMEDIATELY release the button. The clock will beep twice.
l
The clock will scan all channels looking for a transmitter signal. Once the clock finds a channel with a transmitter signal, a
series of beeps will sound from the clock. The clock will beep each time a valid time signal is received, which should be
once per second. The beeping will continue for one minute. If the clock is in a marginal signal area, it will beep once every
few seconds. No beeping means no signal is received.
