Serial UI Access

To open a serial session, a terminal emulator utility is required.
From most Windows 9x, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 systems, a
HyperTerminal session can be started using the following steps:
1. From the Windows Start menu, open the HyperTerminal window.
2. Name the new terminal session.
3. Indicate the appropriate COM port.
4. Configure the serial port settings, as listed in the "Installation" chapter.
