Step 11: Install Sear Plates, Cooking Grates, Warming Rack
Required: (2) sear plates, (3) cooking grates, warming rack.
Place the sear plates into the grill base ensuring their
edges are facing downward. The sides with the narrower
edges face should be in the center (if the plates have
arrows stamped in them, they should point to each other).
Position the three cooking grates in the base with the
finger holes towards the front. Slip the rear lip of the
warming rack into the two supports extending up at
the rear of the base (rotisserie burner housing model
VC75). Tilt it down to rest in a level position (Fig 11)
Step 12: Propane Models- Assemble Cylinder Brackets
Required: Upper tank bracket, tank clip, (2) # 10 x 1/2" bolts, (2) # 10 locknuts, (1) carriage bolt, (1) wing nut.
Attach the upper tank bracket to the lower right end
of the grill base with (2) nuts and bolts. For model
VC75, be careful not to pinch the rotisserie electrode
wire behind this bracket.
Loosely attach the tank clip to the upper bracket
with the carriage bolt and wing nut (Fig 12)
