 Installing the Optional Hard Disk Unit
NOTE:
• When installing both the hard disk unit and font ROM, installing the font ROM is required to proceed the hard disk unit. The
font ROM can not be installed when the hard disk unit is being already installed.

Turn off the printer.
IMPORTANT:
• If the optional hard disk unit is not installed on your printer, note that the data in the memory are cleared when the printer
is turned off.

Turn the screw on the control board cover counterclockwise.
NOTE:
• Loosen the screw. You do not need to remove the screw.

Slide the control board cover towards the rear of the printer and remove the cover.

Insert the two plastic pins on the hard disk unit into the metal casing holes.
