Sending a Scanned Image to a Destination

Before scanning to a destination, configure the destination folders on the server or share the folder on a
personal computer. In addition, you must have at least one Scan To Destination in the address book. If
Scan To Destination properties are not properly configured, the Scan To icon appears grayed out on the
touch screen.
To scan an image and send it to a destination:
1.
Load the original on the document glass or in the document feeder.
2.
Press the Services Home button, then touch Scan To.

To select a destination from favorites:
Touch Favorites.

Select the desired contacts from the list.
Touch OK.

To select a destination from the device address book:
Touch Device Address Book.

On the Device Address Book screen, select the required contacts list from the menu.
b.
Touch Search, then use the touch screen keyboard to type part of the name.
Touch Search.

d.
Select the desired contact from the list, then touch Add to Recipients.
e.
Touch OK.
5.
To change any of the scan settings, use options on the Scan To screen. For details, see
Options
on page 144.
6.
To select the action to take if a file already exists:
a.
Touch the Filing Options tab.
Touch If File Already Exists. Select an option.

Touch OK.

7.
To set the quality and file size:
Touch the Filing Options tab.

Touch Quality/File Size.
c.
To select a setting, use the slider. The settings range from Highest Compression/Smallest File
Size to Lowest Compression/Largest File Size.
Touch OK.
d.
8.
Press the green Start button.
The Job Progress screen appears, and the original is scanned. The file is stored as a file at the
destination.
