General Features

End-to-End DTMF Signaling (Tone Through)

Description
DTMF signaling is required for access to special network services offered by some telephone
companies. This system allows the extension user to signal the other end using DTMF tones
during an established call.
Conditions
• If the dial type of the line is assigned to DTMF, Tone Through mode is established
automatically after the dialing sequence is finished and the call is established.
• Pulse to Tone Conversion
If the dial type of the line is assigned to dial pulse, Tone Through mode is established after
the dialing sequence is finished and the " #" buttons are pressed.
• Tone Through button
This button can be assigned to a flexible button (CO, DSS) by Station, User or System
Programming.
• Automatic Hold
If Automatic Hold mode is enabled by System Programming, Tone Through button is
required to perform End-to-End DTMF Signaling.
• Tone Through button is effective during a call between two extensions / extension to
outside, or a conference call.
