Care Instructions
Do not use a pressure washer for
cleaning. The solid jet of water may
damage parts of the power tool.
Housing
Clean plastic surfaces with a damp
N
cloth. Do not use any aggressive
cleaners because they may
damage plastic components.
Cutting attachment
Remove build-up of resin from
N
blades with warm soapy water and a
sponge.
Spray the blades with a
N
cleaner/lubricant, e.g. STIHL
Multispray (supplied with your
pruning shears).
Backpack
The backpack may be washed if
required:
Remove the controller, control unit,
N
holster and bag from the backpack.
Remove the contact plate from the
N
battery bag (take out 2 screws on
underside and pull contact plate
with connecting cord out of the
battery bag).
Wash backpack according to
N
washing instructions in backpack.
Reinstall all components in the washed
and dried backpack – see also
"Assembling the Power Tool".

Maintenance

The following spare parts and aids are
supplied with the power tool for
maintenance operations:
Whetstone
10x E-clip
Setting tool
Grease gun
STIHL multipurpose grease
STIHLMultispray
Observe the following points before
carrying out maintenance work
Move switch on controller to OFF
N
with the blade fully open.

Unscrew the union nut (1).
N
Remove the plug (2).
N
Lubricating the Cutting Attachment
Filling the grease gun
Use chain to pull plug out of the
N
barrel.
Fill the grease gun with about 2/3 of
N
the STIHL multipurpose grease in
the tube. Keep the remainder for
other lubricating work.
Push the plug firmly into the barrel
N
so that there is no air between the
plug and grease.
Filling the grease reservoir
Fill grease reservoir between the cutting
and anvil blades every day.
Position the grease gun on the
N
grease nipple and pump grease into
the reservoir. One or two strokes
are sufficient.
