Specifying settings

Assistant tool for C200 has a User mode, which can be used by any user, and an Administrator mode, which
is used by the machine administrator.
The settings that can be specified differ for each mode.

User mode

User mode can be used by the general user. The User mode page appears when the machine is accessed
with Assistant tool for C200.
Settings can be specified for the following in User mode.

Administrator mode is used by the machine administrator. In order to log on to Administrator mode, the
administrator password must be entered.

The machine system configuration and the status of installed options are
displayed as device information.
Information on the paper trays, output trays, interface and consumables
is displayed.
Counter information, such as the number of pages copied, printed and
scanned, is displayed.
The contact information for this machine and for consumables is dis-
played.
A list of print jobs that have been performed or are being performed, a list
of jobs sent from this machine and a list of jobs received by this machine
are displayed.
Information on general settings, PCL settings and PS settings is dis-
played.
Fax/scan operation settings for each communication mode can be reg-
istered with one-touch dial buttons.
Fax programs can be registered with one-touch dial buttons. Scan set-
tings and multiple destinations can be registered with the fax programs.
Strings of characters can be specified so they can easily be entered.
Description
Basic system settings, such as the measurement units and paper trays,
can be specified.
Default operation screens can be specified.
Settings for copy operations can be specified.
The e-mail address where activity reports are sent can be specified.
Account registration settings can be specified.
Contact information can be specified.
The length of time until the local interface times out can be specified.
Settings for the page description language (PDL) and for PCL printing
and PS printing can be specified.
