4. Measuring blood pressure
We recommend carrying out
blood pressure measurements
whilst seated. Do not turn the
device on until the cuff has been
m
applied, otherwise the cuff can
become damaged through the
resulting excess pressure.
Position the wrist with the
strapped-on device and the palm
of the hand pointing inwards at
the level of the heart.
Press the blue START/STOP
button. The appearance of all
display segments followed by a
fl ashing arrow pointing down
wards, shows that the device is
to
checking itself automatically and
e
is ready for use.

Subsequently, automatic
infl ation begins. This is shown
by an arrow pointing upwards
and increasing pressure values.
Tensoval mobil comes with
Comfort Air Technology whereby
the infl ation pressure is only as
high as required, thereby making
comfortable measuring possible.
If this infl ation pressure is
insuffi cient, the device continues
to pump until a high enough
pressure is reached.
Once the required infl ation
pressure has been reached, three
short beeps signal that the
measurement starts. Then the
measuring procedure begins
with the release of the air.
If you require a higher infl ation
pressure, you can avoid having
to repeat pumping by pressing
the blue START/STOP button
again shortly after infl ation
starts and holding down on it
until the desired cuff pressure is
reached. This should be approx.
30 mmHg over the systolic
(upper) value.
Important: You should not move
or talk throughout the entire
measuring procedure!
